Deano Returns With A Bang

Dean Ashton scored a spectacular goal for West Ham in a friendly against Leyton Orient tonight. It was his second friendly since returning from 12 months out, due to a broken ankle.

The 24 year old opened the scoring after 15 minutes, scoring a curling 30 yard stunner to announce his return to West Ham colours. Despite his goal, West Ham could only draw 1-1 with the League One club.

Meanwhile, former Alex midfielder Lee Bell made his Mansfield debut in a friendly against Belper Town last night. The 24 year old his hoping to win a contract with the Stags as he helped them to a 1-1 draw, with former Alex trialist Michael Boulding scoring the Stags goal.
