Michael Higdon continued to impress for Falkirk last night, setting up their winning goal over Millwall. Billy Jones meanwhile gets Preston North End fans excited.
Higdon scored in his first Falkirk appearance last week and last night he continued his rich form by setting up Falkirk's winning goal against Millwall. His flick on to fellow striker Pedro Moutinho allowed Moutinho to chest down and volley in a spectacular shot from 25 yard, scoring the only goal of the game.
'The Don' found it tough going in his 5 years as a professional at Crewe but seems to be making an impression on the Falkirk faithful so far.
Meanwhile, Billy Jones came off the bench at half time to play at right back against a weak Everton side. Billy was thought to have a fight on his hands to win the right back spot from long serving PNE captain Graham Alexander this season. However, the 20 year old's performances have seen PNE fans sing his praises - calling for him to start the season in the team.
Finally, former Alex centre backs Darran Kempson & Colin Murdock made an appearance for Shrewsbury as the League Two club opened their impressive new ground, 'The New Meadow'. Town played Coventry City and battled out a 2-2 draw. To go with the Ex-Alex theme, Dele Adebola & Isaac Osbourne did play.
Murdock is currently on trial at the Shropshire club alongside former trainee Chris Flynn.
