Quorn FC v Crewe Alexandra
7.45pm kick off
Sutton Park

After entertaining Liverpool last Saturday, the club have now split the first team squad in half for tonight`s fixtures at Alsager and Quorn. The fixture at Quorn is a regular on the pre-season calendar now.

Originally the fixture was scheduled as part of the deal to take Luke Varney to the Alexandra Stadium. Of course Luke has now moved on to Charlton for 2.5 million. The fee benefited Quorn as well, the Leicestershire side had a sell on fee inserted in his contract.

The home side lost 2-0 to local neighbours Leicester City last Saturday and they will be looking for another good work out in preparation for the visit to our local non league team Nantwich Town in their first league game.

Crewe will be looking for their Strikers to find their shooting boots after they fired blanks on Saturday, albeit against Champions League runners up Liverpool. Kick off at Sutton Park is 7.45pm and admission is £6 Adults and £4 concessions (under 16`s and senior citizens.

Video: Doncaster Rovers (H)

Crewe Alexandra managed to give supporters a long-awaited victory in their final home game of the season against Doncaster Rovers.

Davis happy with finale

Manager Steve Davis was happy and doubtless very relieved to witness Crewe Alexandra complete their home programme with a 3-1 victory against Doncaster Rovers.

Crewe recover for victory

Crewe Alexandra came from behind for a first win in sixteen games and to drag Doncaster Rovers down into League Two with them for next season.

Kick-off was delayed by half-an-hour due to a waterlogged playing surface and Tommy Rowe gave the visitors the lead through a deflected strike.

However, youngster Callum Ainley equalised with his first senior goal before the break and Marcus Haber and substitute Brad Inman added second-half efforts.
