League One Guide - Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers are back in League One after winning the League Two play off final at the New Wembley against Shrewsbury Town in May. Two goals from leading goalscorer Richard Walker helped them to promotion.

Rovers fans will be buoyed by the news that Richard Walker (Pictured Above) has elected to stay with the club. The former Villa trainee hit 23 goals for the Pirates last season and their was plenty of speculation that the striker would move on to pastures new.

His decision to stay plus the signing of David Pipe for 50,000 from Notts County will give them optimism for the forthcoming season. Their home form will be vital next season, it is imperative that they pick up points at home.

Picking up points in their home games may become difficult later in the season as they move to the County Ground, Swindon as the Memorial Ground in Bristol is due to be revamped. Should have enough in the tank to avoid relegation battle, a mid-table finish should be on the cards.

Player`s in - David Pipe, Joe Jacobson and Andrew Williams
Player`s out - James Hunt and Scott Shearer
