Loan striker to arrive shortly
After the £2,500,000 departure of Luke Varney in the summer, the club have been left short of fire power up front. At the moment a lot rest on the shoulders of young Nicky Maynard to score the goals.
The club were hoping that Tom Pope would make the step up to replace Varney but following a training camp in Portugal and yesterday`s blank against Liverpool the club have earmarked a potential loan target.
The identity of the player as of yet is unknown. With Crewe`s relationship with Liverpool players like Craig Lindfield and Besian Idrijaz may be the name of the loan target, or it could be Lee Barnard of Tottenham Hotspur.
As soon as Crewe Vital gets any information on the name of the target, we will be the first to let you, the fans know.
