'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Paint the town red

Crewe will be looking to go one step further this time round. The club had a fantastic run in this competition last season.

Last year they defeated Rochdale on penalties before beating local rivals Port Vale and Chesterfield away to book a place in the Northern Final.

After a 3-3 draw at home against Doncaster in the first leg we travelled to the Keepmoat Stadium and led 2-0 at half time.

But, a second half capitulation saw Doncaster come back and win 3-2. They went on to win the Trophy by beating Bristol Rovers 3-2 after extra time.

That final was at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, with the reopening of the Wembley it will return to London when it hosts the 2007/08 Final on Sunday 30th March.

Match Dates:

Round 1 - 4th or 5th September
Round 2 - 9th or 10th October
Area QF - 13th or 14th November
Area SF - 8th or 9th January
Area F1 - 19th or 20th January
Area F2 - 26th or 27th January
Final - Sunday 30th March
