'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Search for a new full back begins

Paul Bignot`s decision to move on has left the club short of cover at full back. Recent recruitments from Exeter City, Billy Jones (Pictured Above) and Danny Woodards will be first choice pairing but the club are actively looking for a replacement to bolster the ranks and provide cover should either Danny or Billy suffer injury.

At present the identity of the potential target is unknown but the player is likely to be a youngster who has recently been released from a club from either the Premiership or the Championship this summer. Head scout Glynn Chamberlain and Assistant Manager Neil Baker are busy drawing up a list of potential targets that could fit the criteria.

The club will be looking for a player that can cover in a variety of positions at the back and won`t cost a fortune to bring to the Alexandra Stadium and it is anticipated that any deal for a full back would be on a permanent contract and not a short term loan deal.
