'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dario: 'We are ambitious.'

Gates have fallen by 2,000 since an average attendance of 7,403 in the 04/05 season, largely due to awful performances and lack of results.

The club have long been criticised for it's marketing department having made very little impact on the gates in the last 10 years and Dario says he stays out of it.

He told ThisIsCheshire: 'We try and find ways to get more people through the gates but I can't get involved in that.

'I can't go out and persuade people through the gate, it's impossible.'

A big reason fans choose to stay away is 'ambition'. Those who saw the rise from the old Division Four to the new Division One feel the club have lacked direction and any ambition in recent years. Dario doesn't agree:

'We are ambitious, there are not many clubs the same size as us who have achieved more over the last 24 years.

'We want to win but the most important thing is that we stay in business.'

Is the club ambitious?

Can the club improve the gates?

How can they improve them?
