Jack's Dream Crewe Season Over

Crewe Alex striker Rodney Jack has talked of his disappointment over the injury that forced him out of the 3-0 defeat against Port Vale, and ultimately the remaining games this season.

Jack, who`s contract ends this summer has been a welcome returnee to Gresty Road and he hopes that manager Dario Gradi will keep him on for another season. The hamstring tear after just 15 minutes into the Vale match may now signal the end of his second spell at the club.

'Everyone knows that Crewe is my club and I would like to stay. I will just to wait and see what happens,' Rodney said.

'I couldn't believe I suffered the injury like I did on Saturday. I was really looking forward to the game after missing the last few games and then that happened. I really wanted to do well and it would have been good to play upfront with Nicky. We haven't been able to do that a lot this season.'
