Match Preview: Wycombe Wanderers vs Crewe Alexandra

Tomorrow we travel to Adams Park to face Wycombe Wanderers. They have beaten Port Vale, Grimsby Town, Forest Green Rovers and Colchester United on Saturday, they have drawn against Lincoln City on the opening day and back-to-back 0-0s at Newport County and Mansfield Town earlier in the month and have lost to both Notts County and Luton Town, both at home. In the cups, they lost 2-0 at home to Fulham in the first round of the EFL Cup and lost 5-1 against Bristol Rovers in the EFL Trophy.

During the summer, they have made 3 permanent signings with central defender Adam El-Abd arriving from Shrewsbury Town with forwards Nathan Tyson and Craig Mackail-Smith joining from Kilmarnock and Luton Town respectively. They have also made 4 loan signings with left-back Jack Williams and forward Eberechi Eze both joining from QPR as well as centre-back Dan Scarr from Birmingham and Charlton Athletic`s Josh Umerah, all on loan until January.

Crewe Alexandra Team News:

Defender Perry Ng could return after an ankle injury whilst there are no new injuries or suspensions to worry manager David Artell ahead of the trip to Adams Park. Midfielder James Jones is back in training and still weeks away whilst George Ray is still a couple of months away from returning.

Wycombe Wanderers Team News:

Midfielder Dominic Gape is a doubt after missing the game against Colchester whilst forward Scott Kashket is missing with a pelvic injury.

Last season`s fixture at the Alexandra Stadium saw the hosts win, a complete contrast to the game played at Adams Park earlier in the season (Wycombe won that one 5-1). Chris Dagnall opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Adebayo Akinfenwa equalised 15 minutes from time. James Jones scored from the penalty spot 3 minutes from time after George Ray was fouled just inside the penalty area.
