There have been five competitive fixtures on September 13th in the 25-year period, taking place in 2003, 2005, 2008, 2011 and 2014.

The game in 2003 saw Crewe Alexandra travel to Millmoor to face Rotherham United. Dean Ashton gave the visitors the lead in the 45th minute from the penalty spot before Richard Walker added a second 12 minutes after the break.

In 2005, we travelled to Home Park to face Plymouth Argyle. Eddie Johnson gave the visitors an 8th minute lead before Scott Taylor levelled 4 minutes later.

Crewe: Turnbull; Moss, Foster, McCready, Tonkin; Rivers (Roberts 74), Lunt, B. Jones, Vaughan; Johnson (Higdon 39), Varney

Plymouth: Larrieu; Barness (Buzsaky 34), Doumbe, Aljofree, Brevett; Wotton, Djordjic, Norris; Chadwick (Evans 76), Derbyshire, Taylor

Onto 2008 and a home game against Colchester United. Second half goals from Michael O`Connor and substitute Tom Pope gave the Railwaymen the win.

Crewe: Collis; Woodards, O`Donnell, Baudet, Jones; Moore, O`Connor, Bailey, Grant (Carrington 76); Elding (Pope 67), Zola

Colchester: Gerken; Ifil, Heath, White (Perkins 66), Reid; Yeates, Izzet (Hammond 73), Jackson, Wordsworth; Platt, Vernon (Gillespie 60)

In 2011, Crewe travelled to the Pirelli Stadium to play Burton Albion where Justin Richards scored the only goal of the game 10 minutes before half-time.

Crewe: Phillips; Tootle, Davis, Dugdale, Martin; Moore, Bell (Hughes 79), Murphy, Shelley (Clayton 75); Leitch-Smith, Miller

Burton: Atkins; James, Webster, Austin, Palmer (Blanchett 71); Corbett, Bolder, McGrath, Phillips; Richards (Kee 90), Zola

The final game saw the Alex host Port Vale in 2014. Early goals from George Ray and Vadaine Oliver gave Crewe a 2-goal lead before Jordan Slew halved the deficit just after the half-hour mark.
