Wilson Signs for Bristol City

Wilson Signs for Bristol City

Brian Wilson has snubbed a move to Crewe in favour of signing for Bristol City. Crewe and Plymouth had agreed a fee for the 23-year old defender, but Wilson opted to sign for Bristol City instead.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi admitted that Crewe couldn't compete with Bristol City in terms of finances, and the allure of a move closer to his Manchester-based family proved insufficient to convince Wilson to sign for Crewe.

The Robins currently occupy 4th spot in League One, though lie just 3 points from first place. With Jon Otsemobor seemingly certain to leave this summer, Dario saw Wilson - a pacey full back with attacking intent - as the perfect replacement for Otsemobor, who possesses similar attributes.
