Crewe Watching Wilson

Crewe Watching Wilson

Crewe are reportedly watching Cheltenham defender Brian Wilson as the search for a new full-back continues. Cheltenham paid Stoke £50,000 for the 23-year old in September 2005 following successful loan spells. Since then, 5'10 Wilson has made 125 starts for the Robins, scoring 18 goals.

Oddly, right-back Wilson has also played left wing for Cheltenham, and is reknown for his versatility and pace. The Manchester-based defender is out-of-contract at the end of the season, and as he turns 24 in May, no compensation would be payable to the Robins.
