Crewe Receive Taylor Boost

Crewe have been boosted by the news that Blackburn have agreed to extend Andy Taylor's loan spell by a further month. Taylor has impressed since joining on loan a month ago, so much so that Rovers boss Mark Hughes was believed to be seriously considering playing Taylor in their first team as they battle with injuries. However, with Michael Gray slotting in at left back week, the Welshman appears to have decided that he has sufficient cover at the back to allow Taylor to stay with the Railwaymen.

Meanwhile, Crewe's injury problems persist, with Julien Baudet, Neil Cox and Darren Moss still out. Taylor's extended stay should therefore offer a greater balance to the team as Billy Jones can continue in the centre-back role in which he excelled on Saturday.

However, Blackburn have included a 24-hour recall clause in the loan agreement.
