Crewe have twice failed with attempts to sign two seperate Championship defenders on loan. Following injuries to numerous first-team defenders, Dario stated that the club would look to sign a defender on loan.
Assistant Manager Neil Baker revealed, 'We approached a couple of Championship teams about players, but we got knocked back.'
Meanwhile, boss Dario Gradi elaborated, 'The situation changes from week to week and people we've looked at are either in their team now, injured or on loan somewhere else. There was one we had in mind but he'll be playing for his team this weekend. We're still working on something for the weekend.'
