Winger joins rivals

Former Crewe Alexandra winger Byron Moore has signed for fierce rivals Port Vale on a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old rejected a new deal with the Railwaymen at the end of last season following almost 300 senior games for the club.

He helped them to both promotion in the Wembley play-off final of 2012 and the Football League Trophy a year later.

Moore therefore becomes the third winger to sign for the Valiants this summer and joins Colin Daniel (Mansfield Town) and Mark Marshall (Coventry City).
