Davis confident for Dons test

Crewe Alexandra can move themselves out of the bottom four this evening with victory against Milton Keynes Dons at Gresty Road.

"If I was feeling confident going into the Orient game, then I certainly am going into this one" - Steve Davis
On loan striker Uche Ikpeazu could earn a first start having appeared as a substitute in the weekend home defeat to leaders Leyton Orient. He may be joined in the side by fellow loanee George Evans.

"MK Dons have not been able to force their way into the top six so far this season," manager Steve Davis told BBC Radio Stoke. "But, if I was feeling confident going into the Orient game on Saturday with this group at the moment, then I certainly am going into this one.

"That hasn't changed, even though we were beaten at the weekend," he added. "We put in a very creditable performance on Saturday. And, if we keep playing like that, you just hope it will turn and that we can pick up some positive results which get us out of the bottom four."

Dons have midfielder Dele Alli back after a leg injury but Daniel Powell, Luke Chadwick and Dean Bowditch are still well short of fitness.
