Recent Crewe Alexandra signing Vadaine Oliver is determined to make a successful step up of a couple of divisions.

"I am determined to show that can handle the step up" - Vadaine Oliver
The 21-year-old striker completed a summer switch from Conference side Lincoln City to Gresty Road and immediately marked his first appearance for his new club with a headed goal in the 3-2 practice win over Celtic.

That followed thirteen goals in 41 games for the struggling Imps last season, including a hat-trick on his final appearance.

"I know I've come here to improve as a player and I know I will have to adapt to a different level of football having come from Lincoln and the Conference," he told Crewe's official website. "I am determined to show that can handle the step up and can't wait to get going.

"It will be a great test for us all in League One but one we are all looking forward to," Oliver added. "I am ready, prepared to muck in for the team and hopefully I can score goals to help the team."

Disappointingly, Bolton will not be bringing their first team as promised as they've opted to switch their reserve and first team fixtur
