No break for Davis

Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis admits his next signing may be completed while he is away on holiday.

"I like to keep in touch with what's going on" - Steve Davis
The Alex have so far recruited striker Vadaine Oliver from Lincoln City and more are expected to follow in due course.

Last season both Mark Ellis and Abdul Osman put pen to paper while Davis was actually abroad and the manager again plans to be in close contact with home this time around.

"The manager's life doesn't end until you board that plane," he told the Crewe Chronicle. "Even then you turn your phone off for the flight, turn it back on and find another six or seven messages! I like to keep in touch with what's going on, so I don't mind."
