Former Crewe Alexandra loanee Brad Inman could be on his way out of Newcastle United after not signing a new contract at St James' Park.

"We would like to have them back" - Steve Davis
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has allowed his current deal to run down after scoring eight goals in 26 appearances while on loan for the Alex last season.

Manager Steve Davis is closely monitoring the situation of the Scotland Under-21 international who would require a compensation payment to the Magpies should he leave.

Meanwhile, Davis has also contacted Arsenal youngster Chuks Aneke with a view to bringing him back to Gresty Road following eight goals in 38 games last term.

"Both Brad and Chuks are on holiday at the moment, but it's case of keeping in touch with the lads, their agents and clubs to see if there is a possibility of them coming back," he told This is Staffordshire. "We hope that they would like to come back and we would like to have them back. They were excellent for us last season.

"It's ongoing," added Davis. "Conversations will take place from now until pre-season and we'll see what develops."
