Manager Steve Davis was pleased despite witnessing his Crewe Alexandra side going down to a fourth successive defeat at Yeovil Town.

"We opened them up and caused them problems in both halves" - Steve Davis
The visitors fell behind inside the first minute through a Joe Edwards strike but continued to create opportunities and Yeovil's Czech goalkeeper Marek Stech was later forced into a number of decent saves.

"It was real controlled performance from us and the only thing we lacked from the performance was a goal or two," Davis told Crewe's official website. "But that is not to say we didn't create chances because we did,

"Other than the opening goal in the first minute, I thought we defended well as well. The only time we have lost concentration they have scored and that has been the difference on the day," he continued. "We opened them up and caused them problems in both halves. I thought we attacked and went for it."

Their latest defeat saw the visitors slipping down to fourteenth place in the table with now just a couple of games of their season remaining.
