Dario: Rodgers Can Leave

Dario Gradi has revealed that he is willing to let Luke Rodgers leave the club. With three clubs reported to have enquired about Rodgers' availability, including Chester, the possibility of a loan move has been ruled out.

Dario said, 'There are a number of clubs interested in taking Luke on loan, but there is no point in us doing that. 'If people want to take him, it has to be on a permanent basis. If he wants to go, he can.'

Rodgers has failed to score from open play this season, having started 3 games and made 1 substitute appearance. Nicky Maynard's 8 goals in 7 starts and 3 sub appearances have relegated Rodgers to the bench, though Rodgers is likely to find himself given another opportunity in the near future, with Maynard showing signs of tiring and the transfer window closed until January.

With his goalscoring record there should be no problem getting a deal with another League club.
