New signing Nathan Ellington will get his chance soon according to Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis.

"Nathan has been really good ever since he came in and has been a real breath of fresh air" - Steve Davis
Ellington, 31, has arrived on a short-term deal until the end of the season but was only an unused substitute in the 2-1 victory at Colchester United last week.

However, the former West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic marksman's chances of inclusion are set to significantly increase next week with both Max Clayton and Mathias Pogba due to miss out through international duty.

"Nathan has been really good ever since he came in and has been a real breath of fresh air around the place," Davis told Crewe's official website. "He has given everyone a lift and will be in contention again tomorrow. He will probably be on the bench again but we`ll see.

"He will certainly get a chance and soon, because we will be without Max on Tuesday for MK Dons and then Mathias joins up with Guinea after that as well," he added.
