Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis has set winger Ryan Colclough a ten-game target for this season.

"I want him to reach double figures in terms of being involved in games this season" - Steve Davis
Davis wants to see his younger element such as Colclough and Max Clayton continuing to push on and staking their own claims for regular inclusion.

"I've spoken to Ryan and want him to be pushing for a place," Davis told This is Staffordshire. "I want him to reach double figures in terms of being involved in games this season. He's a talented lad who will get better by playing games."

Meanwhile, Davis also intends introducing the likes of Brendan Daniels and George Ray over coming months as further examples of the club's ongoing commitment to youth.

"Brendan, George, Ryan, our young goalkeeper Ben Garratt and Max - you could put them in that category as not having regular starts," Davis added. "I would love to field a full 11 from the academy one day if I get the chance to do so."
