Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis aims to take full advantage of a rare week off at Gresty Road.

"I'm more than happy with the squad I've got here and I was happy with the performance against Stevenage" - Steve Davis
The Alex are without a midweek game this time around and not in action until travelling to the capital to take on Leyton Orient on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Davis has once again expressed his own satisfaction with his current squad despite the disappointment of the weekend home defeat by Stevenage.

"It's nice to have a week to reassess the squad and look to see if we need to make any changes," Davis told This is Staffordshire. "If players haven't quite been playing to their potential it is a chance to do some work to iron things out. It's a chance to do some collective work, too.

"I'm more than happy with the squad I've got here and I was happy with the performance against Stevenage," he added. "We've just got to keep going, we are doing all right."
