We can move on - Mellor

Crewe Alexandra defender Kelvin Mellor believes his colleagues are well-capable of bouncing straight back from their weekend defeat.

"All we can do is pick ourselves up and concentrate on the next game at Leyton Orient" - Kelvin Mellor
The Alex were ultimately left disappointed as their visitors Stevenage came from behind to eventually come out on top 2-1 at Gresty Road.

They next move onto the capital with a visit to Leyton Orient on Saturday ahead of hosting Bradford City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek.

"The lads are disappointed to have lost the game because for large parts of the game we thought we were the better team," Mellor admitted to Crewe's official website. "You can play well in this league and get nothing and that is what happened to us.

"It was cruel to lose it but all we can do is pick ourselves up and concentrate on the next game at Leyton Orient," he reasoned. "We have been a really good run, especially at home, so I am sure the fans have been pleased and have remained right behind us."
