Crewe chase fourth straight win

Crewe Alexandra have the chance of overtaking their latest visitors in the table by recording a fourth straight league victory against a revitalised Bournemouth this weekend.

"They are in a rich vein of from but we have been pleased with our recent form as well" - Steve Davis
Midfield enforcer Abdul Osman has successfully come through training and is in-line for an immediate recall to the side after a knee injury kept him out of the recent 1-0 win at Bury.

Defender Kelvin Mellor has continued to improve his fitness levels following a similar condition but neither AJ Leitch-Smith (ankle) or defender Ollie Turton (thigh) are likely to be risked. Experienced goalkeeper Steve Phillips remains on the sidelines with shin and ankle injuries.

"It will be a real test against Bournemouth because they are unbeaten under Eddie [Howe]," manager Steve Davis told Crewe's official website. "They are in a rich vein of from but we have been pleased with our recent form as well and it is a game we look forward to. They are a big club with a big budget and the players will be relishing the challenge."

The Cherries are already missing Shaun MacDonald alongside Miles Addison, Daryl Flavahan, Stephen Purches and Charlie Sheringham, while Richard Hughes is still returning to fitness.
