Crewe Alexandra host play-off chasing Crawley Town at Gresty Road this weekend with a newcomer in their ranks.

"Kelvin will undergo a scan on his knee on Monday" - Steve Davis
The Alex have new signing Brad Inman available after the 20-year-old midfielder arrived on a month's loan from Premier League Newcastle United.

Meanwhile, winger Michael West has recovered from illness and could return but Kelvin Mellor and AJ Leitch-Smith remain sidelined.

"We are just without two at the moment with Kelvin and AJ ruled out," manager Steve Davis confirmed to Crewe's official website. "Kelvin will undergo a scan on his knee on Monday, so we will have a better understanding of where we are with him then.

"AJ is running again and moving so it is just a matter of time with him," he added. "He will have to work on his sharpness and will need some game time because he has missed a fair bit of football."

Crawley surprisingly lost at home to Yeovil Town in midweek but could include on loan Chelsea midfielder Conor Clifford in their starting line-up.

Elsewhere, defender Claude Davis is available having served a suspension but Joe Walsh is still banned for a couple more games.
