Davis hopes newcomer can follow lead

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is hopeful new loan arrival Brad Inman can make a similar impact to a couple of earlier temporary signings at Gresty Road.

Both Chuks Aneke (Arsenal) and Lauri Dalla Valle (Fulham) have done particularly well since joining the Railwaymen, whose latest loan arrival is set to offer some valuable competition to midfield regulars Luke Murphy and Abdul Osman.

"Brad is an attacking midfielder who can score goals and that gives us a nice option," Davis told Crewe's official website. "He can also play off the front and he was the best one available to us.

"He is 20 and been at Newcastle for a while now," he continued. "He has been on their bench and played for Scotland at Under-19 and Under-21 level, so he comes with some pedigree."
