Manager Steve Davis was once again praising the spirit of his side as Crewe Alexandra came from behind to defeat Colchester United 3-2 at Gresty Road.

"We gave themselves some home truths and they responded" - Steve Davis
Goals from Lauri Dalla Valla, Luke Murphy (penalty) and Mathias Pogba were enough to take maximum points after the visitors went into half-time with a two-goal advantage.

"The players were terrific in the second half but I don't want to many games like that because I don't think I will last very long," Davis admitted to Crewe's official website. "They started really well and worked hard to pressure us in possession and that stopped us playing.

"I didn't think there was a lot in it but I couldn't wait to get in at half-time," he continued. "They gave us the response we wanted and were terrific in the second half. We gave themselves some home truths and they responded."
