Crewe Alexandra return to league action with a game at fellow League One newcomers Doncaster Rovers this evening.

"We know it will be tough and challenge for us, but they are all are at this level" - Steve Davis
Manager Steve Davis was expected to rely on the same side which progressed in the FA Cup at the expense of Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Skipper Luke Murphy, Abdul Osman and Michael West were all being monitored following the 4-1 victory but should still report fit.

However, forward trio Max Clayton (groin), AJ Leitch-Smith (ankle ligaments) and Ryan Colclough (jaw) are currently sidelined.

"We know it will be tough and challenge for us, but they are all are at this level," Davis told Crewe's official website. "We are quickly finding out that you have to work hard to get anything from any game in League One.

"We face them in good form as well and that is something we have faced all season as well, but we have had a fantastic result against Swindon and beaten Coventry, so we know we can compete against the bigger clubs."

Doncaster give late fitness tests to David Cotterill and Kyle Bennett, while Shelton Martis and Paul Quinn are both available.
