Two successive league defeat have left manager Steve Davis demanding a positive reaction against Hartlepool United this weekend.

"We have to remain positive, take what we need from the game and move on" - Steve Davis
The Alex followed up their 1-0 weekend loss at MK Dons with a poor performance as struggling Oldham Athletic claimed only their second league victory of the season at Gresty Road.

A disappointing 2-0 defeat courtesy of goals from substitute James Tarkowski and ex-Blackburn Rovers striker Matt Derbyshire witnessed the hosts slipping another three places in the table.

"Now it is about how they react. I'm not one for looking back," said Davis to Crewe's official website. "We have to remain positive, take what we need from the game and move on. I want the players to enjoy winning games again and take it from there."
