Sidelined teenage winger Ryan Colclough could be about to receive a first professional contract at Crewe Alexandra.

"I've been thinking about giving him a pro contract early" - Steve Davis
The seventeen-year-old suffered a broken jaw during the narrow weekend defeat at MK Dons and is expected to be out of action for around six weeks.

However, such has been his progress to date that manager Steve Davis is currently seriously contemplating offering him full terms.

"I've been thinking about giving him a pro contract early but I have to talk to the chairman about that," he told the Crewe Chronicle. "Ryan took a nasty knock and was in a lot of pain so went he to hospital and found he has fractured his jaw. It isn't displaced so hopefully he won't need surgery."

Colclough has so far made a couple of substitute appearances at senior level for the Railwaymen.
