Crewe Alexandra winger Byron Moore misses tomorrow night's home game with Oldham Athletic after turning his ankle at the weekend.

"We will assess the squad today and assess who is available to us" - Steve Davis
Talented forward Moore has been receiving treatment ever since the 1-0 reversal at MK Dons and manager Steve Davis remains hopeful that he will recover in time to face Hartlepool United this weekend. The 24-year-old was only returning to the side after being unavailable for the recent win against Leyton Orient on compassionate grounds.

The Alex are already without Abdul Osman (ankle) and Ryan Colclough (fractured jaw) but on loan Arsenal midfielder Chuks Aneke is available again following a three-game ban. Meanwhile, teenager Max Clayton has overcome a slight dead-leg and fellow striker Mathias Pogba reported no problems since returning to duty at Stadium MK.

"We will assess the squad today and assess who is available to us," Davis told Crewe's official website. "We have lost a couple with Ryan fracturing his jaw and Byron going over on his ankle. He has had some swelling around it but we remain hopeful that he could be involved on Saturday. That is the same with Abdul. He is improving but Tuesday night has come too quickly for him."
