Midfielder keen to stay

Crewe Alexandra's young on loan Arsenal midfielder Chuks Aneke is keen to extend his stay at Gresty Road.

The nineteen-year-old is currently coming to the end of a three-match suspension after being sent-off on his first start at Stevenage. That followed an earlier substitute appearance against Tranmere Rovers.

Aneke completes his punishment at MK Dons this weekend and would then be available for selection for the next game against Oldham Athletic before being due to return to his parent club.

"I'll be speaking to Steve Bould at Arsenal to see if we can keep it going for another month," Alex manager Steve Davis told BBC Radio Stoke. "He feels comfortable in this company, he's enjoying it and wants to stay.

"There is no timescale on youth loans. They can stop as long as we want to have him and he wants to stay," he added. "And what I've seen so far suggests that he's going to be a good addition who can only get better... as long as he stays on the pitch."
