Teenage ace needed a rest
Teenage ace Max Clayton was only withdrawn after rather understandably tiring during the second-half of the weekend draw with Tranmere Rovers.

That followed him appearing for an hour for England Under-19s in their defeat to Germany in Hamburg on Thursday night.
"He knew he had been in a game against Tranmere," manager Steve Davis told Crewe's official website. "It was more cut and thrust at a higher tempo. I just thought Max was tiring a bit and we needed some fresh legs and that is why I changed it."
