Skipper expects to re-sign
New Crewe Alexandra skipper Luke Murphy is said to be close to signing a new deal at Gresty Road.

The 22-year-old still has a year left on his existing deal but the Alex are keen to extend that at the earliest opportunity. Murphy is already closing in on 150 senior appearances for the club.
"Hopefully, I will be able to sit down and tie up my contract very soon," Murphy told Crewe's official website. "I enjoy my football here and it is my aim to continue playing here. I'm sure everything will be sorted soon."
