Crewe Alexandra striker Mathias Pogba has been ruled out of their next couple of games with a knee injury.

"We may look to bring someone else in on loan to replace him" - Steve Davis
The 22-year-old was an absentee in midweek as the Alex went down to defeat at Premier League West Ham United in the Capital One Cup. He is now expected to similarly miss the home games with Coventry City and Tranmere Rovers but could return to action at Stevenage.

"We are set to be without Pogs for a couple of weeks," manager Steve Davis confirmed to Crewe's official website. "He hopes he will be able to resume training in a week or so and take it from there.

"We may look to bring someone else in on loan to replace him," he added. "We could do with one up there, who can offer that strength and presence."

Pogba has so far netted four times since arriving from Conference side Wrexham over the summer.
