Keeper set for operation
Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Steve Phillips was expected to undergo surgery today to remove a troublesome lump from his knee.

The operation was initially planned for the beginning of this week until the two consultants involved staged a further meeting yesterday to again discuss the procedure.
Experienced campaigner Phillips, 34, should make a swift recovery though and be back in regular action in around a month.
"It is good news for us and good for Steve that everything looks like now being sorted out," manager Steve Davis told Crewe's official website. "He has been obviously frustrated because Steve has played a lot of games in his career and doesn't like missing matches."
The absence of Phillips has at least allowed some early involvement for his deputy Alan Martin over the opening games.
