Crewe wait on key duo
Skipper Ashley Westwood and striker Max Clayton are both doubts ahead of the trip to Scunthorpe United on Tuesday evening.
Westwood needed to visit the local A&E department after taking an elbow to the side of the head during the weekend defeat to Notts County. He reported feeling dizzy and sick but fortunately the 22-year-old was later given the all-clear.
Meanwhile, Clayton received bruising to the ribs following a collision with County goalkeeper Bart Bialkowski. He was initially to be sent for an X-Ray but that has since been cancelled.
Both players were set to attend training today with manager Steve Davis fully assessing them before making his final verdict.
