Time to step up for keeper
Manager Steve Davis was expecting goalkeeper Alan Martin to take maximum advantage of his first-team chance.
The Scot is still to make his competitive debut for the club but has been thrust into the spotlight following regular Steve Phillips' knee injury.
Martin, 23, recently signed a new six-month deal with instructions from his manager to go out and prove himself. Davis is confident he can do just that.
"Alan's not really been tested or had a great deal to do because we have defended very well," Davis told This is Staffordshire. "The back four were excellent against Huddersfield again. They were organised, were talking and looked solid so they protected him very well.
"But you can only go on what he has had to do, and he has done it very well," he added. "He wants to turn his career around and get himself going. This is a great club to do it and he has the opportunity now."
