More to come says Alex midfielder

Latest signing Abdul Osman admitted he is still working his way towards maximum fitness after joining Crewe Alexandra as a free agent last week.

The former Northampton Town midfielder once again impressed for Alex during the weekend 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers at Gresty Road.

But he also conceded he was still largely playing catch-up with the rest of the squad after missing a significant part of pre-season whilst negotiations continued over his move.

"I think I could definitely get fitter. There is more to come from me, and slowly and surely it will," he explained to This is Staffordshire. "I haven't done a lot with the team and I know they have been doing quite a bit, so right now I am behind a bit. But Bolton was another chance to work on my fitness so hopefully in the next game I'll be stronger."

That game arrives tomorrow evening as Crewe host Championship newcomers Huddersfield Town in their latest pre-season friendly.
