Midfielder should be the last
Powerful former Northampton Town midfielder Abdul Osman hopes to finally join Crewe Alexandra at the second time of asking.
Five years ago the 25-year-old went for a trial to Gresty Road before eventually signing for Gretna and later Greek outfit Kerkyra.
Osman is now a free agent after leaving the Sixfields Stadium and featured as a trialist for Crewe in their 2-0 pre-season victory over neighbours Congleton Town at the weekend.
Now he appears likely to become their final recruit of the summer ahead of their much anticipated return to League One next month.
"I don't think there will be any more," manager Steve Davis confirmed to This is Staffordshire. "I have to fit into the budget, but the final piece will be a midfield player."
