Keeper nets deal
Crewe Alexandra reserve goalkeeper Alan Martin has signed a new six-month deal at Gresty Road.
The 23-year-old will provide competition for current first-choice and recently confirmed goalkeeping coach Steve Phillips as Crewe make their return to League One next month.
Martin has been a regular for the reserves but is yet to make his senior debut after earlier spells with Leeds United, Barrow [loan] and Ayr United.
Alex boss Steve Davis has already stated he expects a much stronger challenge from Martin for a starting place in the side this season.
