Newcomer ready for the challenge

New signing Mark Ellis is keen to get started for Crewe Alexandra in League One after arriving from Torquay United.
Ellis, 23, agreed a two-year deal this week with Alex to bring to an end five seasons at Plainmoor.
It will be a new challenge for Plymouth-born stopper who has not yet played at the higher level but one which the commanding centre-back is certainly looking forward to.
"It will be a tough challenge but I am willing to learn," he told This is Staffordshire. "I like to think I am a strong centre-half who is quick across the ground, and hopefully I can develop and improve even more under Steve Davis and the coaches at Crewe.
"It is a league I haven't played in before but I think I have handled myself quite well in League Two in the past so hopefully I can make the step up," he added. "There are some massive clubs in this league and it will be brilliant to play against them."
