Davis seeking resolutions

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis will once again talk to his three out-of-contract players on his return from a family holiday.

The Alex squad are back in training on Thursday 5th July and the immediate futures of three of its members still need to be resolved, with Wembley heroes Steve Phillips, Kelvin Mellor and Byron Moore yet to re-sign.

"We have began initial talks with all three of them and their representatives," Davis confirmed to Alex's official website. "It is still at an early stage and these things take time.

"We won't let it drag on too long in the summer because we need to know who is staying and who is thinking about leaving," he promised. "I want to get our own players sorted out as quickly as possible."
