Davis keen to build on success

Manager Steve Davis wants the momentum from Wembley to continue into the new season as Crewe Alexandra ready themselves for League One.

The rich euphoria of their 2-0 play-off final victory over Cheltenham Town may only be a few weeks ago, but Davis is understandably hoping for increased season tickets sales and a real continuation of the 'feel-good' factor going into the new campaign.

"We have got to keep the momentum going as much as we can," Davis told Alex's official website. "The euphoria may have died down, but the excitement with the fixtures coming out hasn't.

"We had a terrific end to the season and I'm sure everyone enjoyed it, especially the day at Wembley," he added. "But we have to take that into next season."

Alex fans can still get a season ticket at 2005 prices if purchased before Friday 29th June.
