Crewe target duo
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis remains interested in signing former loan man Billy Bodin from Swindon Town.
The 20-year-old failed to score for Alex during his recent end-of-season loan at Gresty Road but Davis believes he has real talent.
"You could see when he was at Crewe there's talent there and that he can be a really good player," Davis told BBC Stoke. "He's been offered a two-year contract at Swindon and is still their player, so obviously, there'll be a fee involved.
"He's left-footed, which is rare, and he showed when on loan at Torquay that he can score goals," he added. "He's only just 20, but he showed talent in training when he was with us and there's a lot of potential."
Crewe are already understood to have held talks with left-back Callum Kennedy, 22, after his release from the Robins. But Scunthorpe United and Yeovil Town are similarly interested.
Meanwhile, Davis is hoping to tie up a new deal for midfielder Byron Moore, 24, who scored in their play-off final victory against Cheltenham Town last month.
