Howzat For A Signing?

Once again Crewe management duo Steve Davis and Neil Baker struck on loan deadline day to bring in Swindon's highly-rated young left-winger Billy Bodin.

On loan deadline day in December the duo moved quickly to snap up Burnley's Wes Fletcher and Chesterfield's Jamie Lowry, and it seems as though that endeavour has once again been rewarded this time around.

Bodin, a Wales Under-21 international, has been used as a bit-part player by Paolo Di Canio since he took over at the County Ground last summer. However, many Town fans believe the Bodin is incredibly unlucky to have not featured more and should be a first-team regular.

He enjoyed a successful loan spell at Torquay earlier in the season, including getting on the scoresheet in the Seagulls' 3-0 win at Gresty Road in what turned out to be Dario Gradi's last game in charge.

Torquay were understood to have been very interested in bringing him back to Plainmoor but Swindon weren't comfortable in sending him out to title contenders.

Bodin's signature is something of a coup for the Railwaymen in their pursuit for a playoff place and Alex fans may be treated to a rare sight this Saturday - two left-footers in the starting line-up for the first time this season!
