'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Immy-Shimmy

Last week Crewe stopper Steve Phillips revealed the devastating news that a close family member of his has been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour.

Imogen, aged four, has only a year to live according to doctors, and Phillips' family have acted quickly to ensure that her final few months are as happy as possible given the circumstances.

A small charity, 'Immy-Shimmy', has been set up by the family in a bid to raise money for a trip to Disneyland before Imogen becomes too ill to attend.

Vital Crewe urges Alex supporters to do their bit in order to ensure that Imogen has a great final few months of her life.

By visiting the charity's website, http://www.immyshimmy.co.uk/, direct donations can be made. And we are proud to announce that the Crewe Alexandra Supporters' Initiative (CASi) has been in contact with Phillips and are arranging a number of fundraising opportunities.

A race night has been pencilled in for 1st April (to be confirmed) where a number of items will be up for grabs. All money raised will go to Immy-Shimmy.

The End of Season Party will also present fans with the opportunity to donate to this fantastic cause.

Any donations will be much appreciated by the family and Vital Crewe believes that the community spirit around Crewe Alexandra Football Club should result in much support for the cause.
